Leaving Los Angeles

L.A. was awesome and will remain in my thoughts for a long while. I want to live here, but I don't, but I do... So many things to do, so much art to consider, food options, cultural diversity. I feel like I'm missing out on something as I type this. But deep down I know that with the good comes the bad. The running in circles just to keep up on rent, bills, eating out, going out, and having so many interesting things to buy right there in front of you. Goodbye L.A., I'll miss you...

One of Michelle's sister's college buddies, Justin Neese, currently lives out here so we decided to reach out to him. Michelle met him briefly when she first visited her sister in Charleston and since then he lived in Asheville for four years before coming out to L.A. Justin has a home studio for recording music and offered to record a couple of Michelle's songs. Afterwards we went out to a local bar, The Greyhound, and tried some California brewed beer.

For our last day in L.A. we decided to go check out the Griffith Obervatory. With beautiful views of the city and tons of information on the stars, the sun, and all sorts of other space goodness it's no wonder this place is so popular. It's so inspiring watching videos and reading about the sun, plasma, prominences, and all the other mind boggling science stuff going on. I feel as if I am missing out on a huge aspect of the world not knowing anything about space and science.

Next stop Ventura. Michelle wasn't so into L.A. but in Ventura the gears started turning. She likes the idea of a smaller city with a slower pace of life. The sea and beaches are so amazing here and Michelle often falls into trances just staring at the ocean.
